Marching Percussion Camp
The Marching Percussion Camp will address multiple aspects of what it takes to be a member of a marching ensemble. The drum line track will include:
- Snare drum focus day
- Bass drum focus day
- Tenor focus day
- Working knowledge of four main stroke types
- Learn exercises to build needed skills/techniques
- Learn to move your feet in time while performing
- Materials subject to change based on performance of the group

Requirements
Some drums can be provided, but availability is limited. Please make every effort to bring your own instrument or arrange to borrow one from your school's band director. Directors are welcome to contact Rhythm & Grooves with any inquiries. All drums can be securely stored at our location during the week of camp. Students should bring sticks and/or mallets for the instruments they wish to work on (snare, tenors, bass, vibraphone, marimba, etc.), as well as hearing protection. These items will be available for purchase in our store if needed. Students should bring lunch, snacks, and drinks daily. A water cooler will be available for use.
