Marching Percussion Camp
The Marching Percussion Camp will address multiple aspects of what it takes to be a member of a marching ensemble. The drum line track will include:
- Snare drum focus day
- Bass drum focus day
- Tenor focus day
- Working knowledge of four main stroke types
- Learn exercises to build needed skills/techniques
- Learn to move your feet in time while performing
- Materials subject to change based on performance of the group
Along with the exercises, campers will learn music that will be performed for relatives and friends at the conclusion of camp.Please feel free to EMAIL or CALL us with any questions you may have or for further information.

Requirements
Some drums can be provided, but are limited. Please make every effort to bring your own instrument or ask to loan an instrument from your school's band director. Directors are welcome to contact Rhythm & Grooves with any inquiries. All drums can be securely stored in the store during the week of camp. Please bring sticks and/or mallets for the instruments you want to work on (snare, tenors, bass, vibraphone, marimba, etc.), and hearing protection. There will be sticks, mallets, and hearing protection available for purchase in the store. Students will need to bring lunch, any snacks, and drinks daily. There is a water cooler available for use.
